- If additional downward pressure is needed, a clean, heavy item such as freeze dryer trays can be placed on top of the screen during pre-soak
- Prevents material from floating or piling at the surface prior to agitation
- Pre-soaking is critical to prevent biomass sharding and fragmentation , which can occur if dry or partially hydrated material is agitated prematurely
- Reduces fines and plant matter contamination caused by brittle biomass breaking apart
- Improves wash consistency and downstream separation quality
- Clears BubbleTek paddles, drains, and recirculation paths without restricting flow
- Eliminates the need for improvised ice weighting during hydration
- Recommended pre-soak times: Fresh Frozen: 1–5 minutes
