  • If additional downward pressure is needed, a clean, heavy item such as freeze dryer trays can be placed on top of the screen during pre-soak
  • Prevents material from floating or piling at the surface prior to agitation
  • Pre-soaking is critical to prevent biomass sharding and fragmentation , which can occur if dry or partially hydrated material is agitated prematurely
  • Reduces fines and plant matter contamination caused by brittle biomass breaking apart
